[DMO Activity Report November 2025] Report on Tourism PR Activities

The Nasushiobara City Tourism Bureau conducts various PR activities in different locations with the aim of promoting the charms of Nasushiobara and encouraging more people to visit. This time, we will deliver a report on the tourism PR and event activities held in November 2025. ① Promoting Nasushiobara City at the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF2025)! The Nasushiobara City Tourism Bureau exhibited at the “Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF2025)” held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from November 6th (Thursday) to 10th (Monday). As it is one of the largest travel events in Taiwan, the venue was bustling with many travel enthusiasts on both weekdays and holidays. At the booth, we introduced the charms of Nasushiobara City, such as its hot springs and nature, and disseminated information for winter tourism, making it a great opportunity for people in Taiwan to learn about Nasushiobara.

② We will be setting up a booth at the Senbonmatsu Marche held at Nasu Senbonmatsu Ranch.

On Saturday, November 8th, the Nasu Shiobara City Tourism Bureau exhibited at the “Senbonmatsu Marche” held at Nasu Senbonmatsu Ranch. As it was a weekend during the autumn foliage season, the venue was bustling with families and tourists, and many visitors came throughout the day. At the Tourism Bureau booth, we sold local products and original goods from the city, mainly focusing on seasonal Shiobara Plateau radishes. The Shiobara Plateau radishes were very popular, with visitors commenting on their size and juiciness, and all the radishes we had prepared sold out early in the day. It was a great opportunity to directly convey the charm of the region through autumn flavors and products unique to Nasu Shiobara.

③ Exhibiting at Niiza City Festival (Marui Shiki)

From November 14th (Fri) to 16th (Sun), the Nasushiobara City Tourism Bureau exhibited at the “Niiza City Festival” held at Marui Family Shiki in Saitama Prefecture. Niiza City and Nasushiobara City are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sister city relationship, and this exhibition was held as part of the commemorative activities. On the day, thanks to the venue’s location directly connected to the station, many shoppers stopped by our booth. At the Tourism Bureau booth, we mainly sold local products such as dairy products and baked goods from the city, and also introduced tourism information about Nasushiobara. In addition, a project where people could try their luck at a gacha machine by following us on social media was a great success, and it was a good opportunity for people living in the Tokyo metropolitan area to learn about the Tourism Bureau’s official accounts. Through disseminating information in urban areas, this event helped us build relationships that will lead to visits to Nasushiobara.

④ Promoting Nasushiobara City at the Thailand FIT Fair (Visit Japan FIT Fair #17)!

From November 21st (Fri) to 23rd (Sun), the Nasushiobara City Tourism Bureau participated as part of the Tochigi Prefecture booth at the “Visit Japan FIT Fair #17” held at Siam Paragon, a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. The venue was bustling with many visitors on weekdays and weekends alike, and on weekends, there were times when queues formed in front of the booth. While introducing tourism information focusing on Nasushiobara City’s hot springs and nature, the bureau also promoted Tochigi Prefecture as a whole. From November 24th (Mon) to 26th (Wed), the bureau visited major travel agencies in Bangkok to exchange opinions and provide information for product development. The agency received inquiries about considering tours that take into account the unique characteristics of Nasushiobara, which led to the creation of business opportunities that could attract more visitors.
