A tour of the Nasu Canal, one of Japan’s three major irrigation canals.
This course takes you on a journey through the history of pioneering. We envision the natural environment, springs, irrigation systems, historical sites related to pioneering, and traditional culture of the western Nasunogahara area as an "open-air museum," presenting them as a rural landscape museum.

Karasugamori Park
This park is a place where you can enjoy seasonal flowers. At Karasumori Shrine, located on a hill, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Nasu Canal was held in front of the shrine on April 15, 1885 (Meiji 18). Also, in 1894 (Meiji 27), the success of the development project was celebrated with great fanfare.

Sosui no Sato Direct Sales Center
This is a direct sales outlet for local farmers. At the rural restaurant "Sosui-an," you can enjoy handmade soba noodles made with locally produced buckwheat flour.

A walking trail along the Nasu Canal
This walking trail runs along the prefectural road leading from National Route 400 to Nasunogahara Park, following the main Nasu Canal. Three different hydroelectric power generation facilities are located along the canal, utilizing its water.

Nasu Canal Jabio River Siphon Outlet
Located where the Nasu Canal, one of Japan's three major irrigation canals, crosses the Jabio River, water springs forth from its outlet due to the principle of a siphon.

This is a tourist ranch located at the foot of the Nasu mountain range. There's plenty to enjoy, including interacting with animals, horseback riding, a dog run, a market, and hot springs.
