Adjacent to the "Meiji no Mori Kuroiso" roadside station is a white Western-style building. It was the villa of Aoki Shuzo, who served as the German Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Meiji era. This beautiful structure was built using European architectural techniques. It is a valuable example of modern architecture, featuring German-style construction methods for its framework and roof structure, and distinctive features such as scale-shaped slate on the exterior walls. It is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. Admission: Adults 200 yen, Elementary and Junior High School Students 100 yen.
