Former Aoki Family Nasu Villa
This building symbolizes the villa culture that developed on the aristocratic farms of Nasunogahara.
Viscount Aoki Shuzo (Minister of Foreign Affairs) was such an expert on Germany that he was nicknamed the "Old Man of Germany," and in 1888 he built a German-style villa on his farm.
It is said that when Viscount Aoki visited this villa, he would travel by horse-drawn carriage from Kuroiso Station.
