This is a memorial tower for Takao Tayu (Shiobara Takao), who was born in Shiobara and was adopted into the Miuraya brothel in Yoshiwara, Edo. She became a courtesan after a major fire in Edo, and passed away at the young age of 19 after reviving Miuraya.
