Yamayuri Suspension Bridge
The newest suspension bridge in Shiobara was completed in October 2004 at Hatashimo Onsen.
The bridge's name comes from a passage in Koyo Ozaki's novel, Konjiki Yasha, in which Kan'ichi compares his feelings for Omiya to a mountain lily. The 54-meter-long steel cable pedestrian bridge is modeled after the suspension bridge that once spanned the Imperial Palace.
