Let’s learn more about local agriculture! Nasu-Shiobara Farmers’ Exploration Team

November 1, 2026, November 15, March 27, 2027

Infiltrating a farm! A great adventure of food and life.

Do you know where the vegetables you see in supermarkets come from? In this experience, you’ll dive into the world of agriculture through “harvesting,” “observing,” “eating,” and “exploring” in a real farm! This is a chance to experience the latest agricultural machinery and techniques that you don’t usually get to see up close. You’ll learn about the hardships and joys of growing crops, and the moment of amazement when you eat freshly picked vegetables and exclaim “Delicious!” awaits you. It’s a day to cultivate “life skills” by learning with all five senses in nature. Participation is primarily for parents and children, but children alone are also very welcome. There will be a total of three sessions, and the locations and crops will be completely different, so participating in all three will surely create wonderful memories. *The crops harvested will differ depending on the date. – Session 1: November 1st, 2026 (Sun) Radish or spinach harvest – Session 2: November 15th, 2026 (Sun) Lotus root harvest – Session 3: March 27th, 2027 (Sat) Winter vegetable harvest *Participation is for children and their guardians, so you do not need to be parent and child. *Adults only applications are not accepted.
