乙女の滝
マイナスイオンたっぷり
This beautiful waterfall, with a drop of approximately 10 meters, is located in the Itamuro area of Nasushiobara City. You can get close to the base of the falls and experience the powerful spray and natural mist. Even in summer, the air is cool, making it a popular spot to escape the heat. A walking path is maintained, making it easy to visit, and it's also a recommended spot for taking photos.
沼ッ原湿原
標高1,230mの湿原で、爽やかに散策を
Numappara Marshland is a subalpine marshland located at an altitude of 1,230 meters on the western edge of the Nasu mountain range. A boardwalk encircles the marshland, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers. The drive to the marshland is a refreshing one, following a road that runs parallel to the Nasu mountain range through a forest of Japanese white birch trees, heading west to Numappara Marshland. Although some sections are unpaved, the entire route is a two-lane road. This course allows you to enjoy both a walk through the marshland and a scenic drive through the highlands.
木の俣園地
The Kinomata River, a tributary of the Nakagawa River, is truly a pristine stream. The valley is also lush with greenery, making it a great spot to enjoy the fresh green leaves of spring, the vibrant autumn foliage, and the large willow trees (which grow in clusters). A walking path is maintained downstream from Kinomata Bridge to the confluence with the main Nakagawa River, allowing visitors to enjoy a stroll while appreciating the grandeur of nature amidst the scenery created by plants, large rocks, and unusual formations. A giant rock suspension bridge spans the Kinomata River, allowing for easy pedestrian exploration.
小太郎ケ淵
This scenic spot is surrounded by the rich nature of Shiobara Onsen. A clear stream flows down the rocky cliffs, creating deep pools, and it is known for the beauty of its fresh greenery and autumn foliage. It is also a place of historical significance, as it is said that Koyama Kotaro, the lord of Shiobara during the Sengoku period, threw himself into the pool. There is a tea house called "Kotaro Chaya" on the edge of the pool, where you can enjoy the scenery of the gorge while savoring the local specialty, kusa dango (rice dumplings with mugwort).
竜化の滝
Named after its three-tiered cascade resembling a dragon, this is Shiobara's most famous waterfall. Enjoy the powerful cascade and natural mist in this refreshing summer spot. The walking path leading to the waterfall also offers a forest bathing experience, allowing you to feel the healing power of nature while being enveloped in cool air.
那須野が原公園
The surrounding area is blessed with a rich natural environment and is adjacent to a livestock and dairy farming research center and private ranches, creating an idyllic atmosphere. The park has facilities such as a large lawn where children can play freely, popular sledding, athletic facilities, a family pool, and an auto campsite, making it ideal for refreshing both mind and body.
ファミリープール
Located in a corner of the vast Nasunogahara Park, this family pool is surrounded by lush greenery and nature. With five different pools, including a water slide, a lazy river, and a children's pool, it's a place where families, friends, and couples can all enjoy themselves.
那珂川河畔公園プール
This park was developed in 1993, taking advantage of its topography, with the clear Nakagawa River flowing through the northeastern part of the grounds and rural areas surrounding the southwestern part. It features a Japanese garden centered around a large pond, a children's playground for families and groups, and an open space, making it a popular spot for walks and various events. The adjacent aquatic plant garden is planted with plants such as skunk cabbage and irises, and is enjoyed by visitors as it displays a variety of flowers throughout the seasons.
We've added more playground equipment that everyone can enjoy (inclusive playground equipment).
This park boasts a spacious lawn and riverside scenery. It's a great spot to connect with nature, whether you're relaxing by the water or searching for wildlife. Six types of inclusive play equipment have been installed in the children's play area. Parking and restrooms are located next to the play area, so please come and visit!
