Myounji Temple
Myounji Temple was founded in 1184 by Taira Sadayoshi as a hermitage.
Its name originates from the fact that Myoun Zenni, the sister-in-law of Taira no Shigemori, built a hermitage to worship Shaka Nyorai in 1184. It is a Rinzai sect Myoshinji temple and is also known as the Temple of Flowers.
