スープ入り焼きそばとは?
One of Shiobara's specialties is "soup-filled yakisoba." The preparation is simple: freshly stir-fried yakisoba noodles are placed in a bowl, and soy sauce-based soup is poured over them. While some may be surprised, this is the "soup-filled yakisoba" that has been loved in Shiobara Onsen for over 50 years. It looks like ramen, but tastes like yakisoba! The soy sauce-based soup gradually blends with the sauce, creating a unique flavor. This dish is an essential part of any Shiobara Onsen experience, so please give it a try.
こばや食堂
This yakisoba is simple, with only pork and cabbage as ingredients, but they've made a point of using straight ramen noodles for their texture and appearance. The special sauce has a good balance of sweetness and sourness, and gradually dissolves into the soy sauce soup, transforming into a unique flavor. You can also choose from regular, large, and extra-large portions, which is a nice touch. This casual diner is located near the main gate of the ancient temple Myounji. Its distinctive feature is the pickled ginger. The pickled ginger, a common accompaniment to yakisoba (fried noodles), really enhances the yakisoba experience. 森林の駅レストラン
This restaurant is located at the foot of the Momijidani Suspension Bridge. Their soup-based yakisoba is characterized by its fried noodles and pickled ginger topping. It comes with a small bowl of rice and is quite filling. We recommend adding the leftover soup after finishing the noodles, or pouring the soup over the rice.
